Nina Arvesen (born May 16, 1961 in White Plains, New York) Norwegian origin,daughter of an ambassador, an American actress and model best known for her performances on American soap operas and consecutive appearances on popular magazine covers. Nina has appeared in over 300 magazines, Arvesen speaks fluent Norwegian.

Nina's brothers' names are Jannik and Christian. She spent her early years in Egypt, Brazil, New York and Norway. She was a jack-of-all-trades on "Scandinavian Weekly". She came to South California at age 24.
The daughter of a Norwegian ambassador, she grew up globetrotting from the U.S. to Egypt, Brazil and Norway. She moved to Hollywood in 1985, after working as an actress in Norway for several years. Her big break came when she got a part in the 1987 movie Dragnet starring Tom Hanks. Nina's first soap role was in 1987 on Santa Barbara, where she played a rookie policewoman in three episodes. She then wreaked havoc as Cassandra on The Young and the Restless from 1988 to 1991.
Following her dismissal from Y&R, Nina joined the cast of Santa Barbara as Angela Raymond. She stayed with SB until the end of the series.

Nina Arvesen has two brothers to who she is very close - "we knew the same nomad childhood, from the United States to Egypt and Brazil,. Christian Arvesen, is a specialist in special effects and he worked on Robocop and JFK. He also created a company of musical production. Enterprising, Nina Arvesen founded The Arvesen Group, to produce TV movies. Nina knows the businesses. brother, Christian is diabetic. Well knowing the problems that it can create, she takes part in official receptions, conferences that organizes the American Diabetic Association. Cassandra called Adrian and told him that she was being held prisoner by Victor, was tied to a chair, had a gun pointed at her and a block of melting ice rigged to fire it. When Adrian arrived to save her, Victor and Paul captured him. Carl arrested Adrian and succeeded in exposing him as George's killer. Unfortunately, Angela and David had a troubled marriage, one that started with the coverup of her sister Marilyn's death. Soon after coming to Santa Barbara, Angela arranged for Warren Lockridge to interview David for his newspaper. She became attracted to Warren and they began a hot affair. Still, Angela had a possessive streak and was jealous of David's interest in Julia Wainwright.
One night, a bullet traveled through Mason Capwell and killed Amado Gonzalez at the Oasis Hotel. Immediately afterwards, a stunned Angela saw Warren on her apartment balcony holding a rifle aimed at the Oasis. Warren and Angela suspected each other of the shooting, but soon realized that neither of them was guilty.
When Warren was tried for the shooting, Angela bravely played up to Craig Hunt to prove he was the real culprit. When Craig caught on, he planned to kill Angela and forced her to write a suicide note in which she confessed to the shooting. Luckily, she was rescued in time by Cruz Castillo and Warren. Eventually, Angela and David got divorced. By then, Angela had fallen in love with Warren.
Trying to buy Warren's love, Angela gave him the Santa Barbara Bulletin. She also purchased an art gallery. Warren became torn between Angela and Cassandra Benedict, his former lover. In the end, he chose Angela. Cassie went mad over the issue and began harassing Angela. She even poisoned Angela's soup. When that didn't work, Cassie exposed the fact that David and Angela were responsible for the car crash that killed Angela's sister Marilyn. Later, when Angela fell off a ladder and was unconscious, Marilyn's spirit urged her to forgive herself for causing Marilyn's death.
Warren and Angela's relationship continued until he fell in love with B.J. Walker. Meanwhile, Angela began a lusty affair with Ted Capwell, who was engaged to Katrina Ruyker at the time. Following a car accident, Angela suffered from amnesia and began working in a diner. She was found by Ted. Later, in Dallas, Angela and Ted were caught in bed together by Katrina. Angela finally got her memory back and dumped Ted. She then cozied up to his father, C.C. Capwell. C.C. proposed to her. However, realizing that C.C. still loved his ex-wife Sophia, Angela broke up with him. It was a friendly parting and the last time we saw Angela.

Nina Aevesen played-(Cassandra Rawlins (aliases Cassandra Hall and Sandy, also called Cassie) )- Brief Character History,Actor History Cassandra Rawlins was an interior designer and, later, the owner of Ra-Tech,In 1988, private detective Paul Williams met the mysterious and beautiful Cassandra Hall and contracted her interior decorating skills to redo his office and bachelor pad. Paul and Cassandra fell in love and Paul proposed. One evening, while dining at the mansion of his client, George Rawlins, the wealthy owner of Ra-Tech, Paul was shocked when introduced to his much younger wife "Cassie" who turned out to be Cassandra Rawlins but Cassandra and Paul didn’t let on that they knew each other. Cassandra carried on with Paul while married to George.
George confided in Paul that he feared his young wife would leave him since he was impotent and asked Paul to sire a child for them. Paul refused. Cassandra asked George for a divorce to be with Paul causing George to have a heart attack. After George recovered he was bent on revenge against Paul and Cassandra. George plotted to have himself killed and make it look as if Paul had murdered him. Paul was arrested, indicted and went to trial. Paul faked his own suicide and escaped before going into hiding but he was eventually cleared and he reunited with Cassandra.
Paul followed Cassandra and her secret lover (and the real killer), Adrian Hunter, to Bermuda. Cassandra was stunned to find Paul alive and confessed her complicity to him. Adrian was jailed. Victor Newman made Brad Carlton his temporary fill in as CEO at Ra-Tech and gave him a vice presidency at Newman Enterprises. Cassandra offered Brad a job at Ra-Tech, the company she inherited when George died. Cassandra, out for Brad, offered him a permanent job at Ra-Tech as opposed to his interim CEO position from before.
Ashley Abbott went away to a cabin to sort out her feelings and wound up marrying her old love, Victor. Furious, Brad's attitude was evident at work where Victor ordered him to snap out of it or find another job.
In 1991, Brad accepted Cassandra's job offer and, to work out the details, agreed to go skiing with her in Aspen. Cassandra drugged him on the way and changed the flight plan to land in Vegas. The next day, a groggy Brad woke up married to Cassandra! She told him he had willingly participated in the marriage but he was concerned about missing a date with Traci Abbott Connolly due to the snowstorm causing flights to be canceled. When they returned to Genoa City, Brad was made permanent CEO at Ra-Tech. He also held onto his job at Newman out of loyalty to his ex-father-in-law, John Abbott.
Brad convinced Victor to merge Ra-Tech and Newman Enterprises but resigned from Newman when the Ra-Tech demands became too great. Traci uncovered Cassandra's scheme and told Brad who immediately filed for divorce after only a few weeks of marriage. At the divorce hearing, Brad and Cassandra agreed to part amicably without laying claim to each other's financial interests. Immediately after the hearing, Cassandra called Paul telling him that he was the man she really loved and rushed off to see him. But before they could connect, Cassandra mysteriously disappeared without a trace. actress Nina Arvesen three year contract with The Young and the Restless expired in 1991, she made the decision to join the NBC television series Santa Barbara.
